About
Orli Rosenthal
Orli Rosenthal is the Founder and Principal of Mill River Architecture, a full-service architecture firm based in New Haven. She is licensed to practice architecture in Connecticut and New York and holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a B.A. in Architecture from Wellesley College. She is also an Adjunct Instructor of Architectural Design at Connecticut College in New London, CT.
Before starting her own practice, Orli worked at TenBerke Architects (formerly Deborah Berke Partners) in New York City, contributing to institutional, commercial, and high-end residential projects, overseeing both design development and construction administration. Prior to TenBerke, she was a Project Lead at MADE Design/Build in Brooklyn. At MADE, she focused on retail and residential projects, balancing project management, design, permitting, and client communication.
Orli’s ambition as an architect is to positively impact communities through design, whether a renovation of a family home, the interior fit-out of a neighborhood café, or a small apartment renovation. She meets with clients using visually clear, engaging presentations at every stage, ensuring that design decisions are collaborative and informed. She approaches each project with care, curiosity, and respect for its history and broader context, driven by the belief that the design process should be engaging, collaborative, and unpretentious.
